Wie zoeken we?
Voor het project “Smart Sporting Cities” nodigen we samen met Sport Vlaanderen, de stad Leuven en Addestino Innovation management ondernemingen en organisaties uit om deel te nemen aan een marktconsultatie. Hierbij richten we ons op Internet of Things (IoT) integratiespelers, IoT platformontwikkelaars en turnkey providers en spelers in de domeinen rond sportmonitoring, sportinfrastructuurmonitoring, sportapplicaties, sensoren of slimme camera’s.
Doel project
Het project “Smart Sporting Cities” wenst data rond de niet- en licht-georganiseerde sporters (zoals lopers, fietsers, yoga) in de publieke ruimte van Leuven te verzamelen via IoT. Hierbij wordt ernaar gestreefd om zoveel mogelijk extra data te verzamelen bovenop puur het aantal sporters. Bij deze dataverzameling wordt best niet gesteund op wearables om te vermijden dat sporters actief een applicatie moeten installeren en gebruiken. Sport Vlaanderen en de stad Leuven wensen op korte termijn een IoT-proeftuin op te laten zetten in Leuven die deze data capteert en analyseert.
Doel marktconsultatie
Tijdens de marktconsultatie willen we de behoeften vanuit Sport Vlaanderen en de stad Leuven 'matchen' met (deel-)oplossingen beschikbaar op de markt. Het is de bedoeling om na te gaan in hoeverre ondernemingen oplossingen kunnen aanreiken voor de behoeften en noden van Sport Vlaanderen en de stad Leuven, en hoe innovatief, haalbaar (qua tijd, budget, ontwikkelingstraject, enz.) en schaalbaar deze oplossingen zijn.
Er wordt geen voorbereiding (in de vorm van presentaties, pitches of dergelijke) verwacht van de deelnemende bedrijven en organisaties.
Voor een vlotte discussie en goed resultaat is het wel aangewezen om uw bedrijf te laten vertegenwoordigen door een medewerker met technologische expertise (eerder dan door een sales- of PR-medewerker). Zij kunnen doorgaans beter en sneller inschatten wat de technologische oplossingen kunnen zijn voor elke behoefte of gewenste functionaliteit.
De uitkomst van de marktconsultatie moet Sport Vlaanderen en de stad Leuven in staat stellen om een of meerdere geschikte (innovatieve) oplossingen voor de gestelde behoefte aan te kopen via een overheidsopdracht en te laten testen en valideren in een IoT-proeftuin in Leuven.
Waar en wanneer?
Wegens corona zal de marktconsultatie online plaatsvinden op woensdag 3 juni in de namiddag van 13u tot 17u.
Inschrijven
Deelname is uiteraard gratis, maar inschrijving is verplicht. U kan dit doen door het inschrijvingsformulier onderaan deze pagina in te vullen tot en met woensdag 27 mei.
Kort voor de online meeting zal u de nodige informatie (o.a. agenda, link) toegestuurd krijgen om deel te nemen.

Who are we looking for?
For the project "Smart Sporting Cities", we would like to invite companies and organizations to participate in a market consultation we are organizing together with Sport Flanders, the City of Leuven and Addestino Innovation Management. We are looking for Internet of Things (IoT) integration players, IoT platform developers and turnkey providers and players in the fields of sports monitoring, sports infrastructure monitoring, sports applications, sensors or smart cameras.
Goal of project
The project "Smart Sporting Cities" wants to collect data on non-organized and lightly organized athletes (such as runners, cyclists, yogi) in the public space of Leuven via IoT. The aim is to collect as much extra data as possible, on top of the number of athletes. In this data collection it is best not to rely on wearables to avoid that athletes have to actively install and use an application. Sport Flanders and the City of Leuven wish to set up an IoT testing ground in Leuven in the short term to capture and analyse this data.
Purpose of market consultation
During the market consultation we want to 'match' the needs of Sport Flanders and the city of Leuven with (partial) solutions available on the market. The intention is to examine to what extent companies/organisations can provide solutions for the needs and requirements of Sport Flanders and the City of Leuven, and how innovative, feasible (in terms of time, budget, development trajectory, etc.) and scalable these solutions are.
No preparation (in the form of presentations, pitches or the like) is expected from the participating companies and organisations.
For a smooth discussion and a good result, it is advisable to have your company represented by an employee with technological expertise (rather than by a sales or PR employee). They will usually be able to assess better and quicker what the technological solutions can be for each need or desired functionality.
The outcome of the market consultation should enable Sport Flanders and the City of Leuven to purchase one or more suitable (innovative) solutions for their needs via a public procurement contract and to have them validated in an IoT testing ground in Leuven.
Where and when?
Due to corona, the market consultation will take place online on Wednesday June 3rd in the afternoon from 1pm till 5pm.
