Wie zoeken we?

Voor het project “Innovatief organiseren van het opvangen en verwijderen van drijvend vuil in de jachthavens langs de kust [1]” willen we samen met Afdeling Kust van het Agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust (MOW) private ondernemingen aanzetten tot innoverend nadenken hoe de verwijdering van drijvend en zwevend vuil in de kustjachthavens kan aangepakt worden.

Hiervoor nodigen we ondernemingen uit om deel te nemen aan een marktconsultatie onder begeleiding van Addestino Innovation Management.

We richten ons in de eerste plaats op innovatieve bedrijven met autonome en continue afvalverwijderingssystemen in (kust)jachthavens.

Doel project

Op het wateroppervlak rond de vlottende infrastructuur in de jacht- en vissershavens drijft er zwerfvuil rond. Dit is nefast voor het maritiem milieu en storend voor vaartuigen, bovendien houdt dit een risico in op schade aan de afgemeerde en varende vaartuigen, de haveninfrastructuren en materialen van de visserij.

Vandaag is Afdeling Kust bezig met de manuele opruiming van drijvend vuil in de kustjachthavens. Dit is sterk afhankelijk van lokale omstandigheden zoals weer en stroming en zorgt vaak voor een minder optimaal resultaat.

Het doel van dit project is om een innovatieve oplossing te vinden voor het opzuigen van drijvend vuil op het wateroppervlak rond de vlottende infrastructuur in de jachthavens. Deze oplossing moet rekening houden met de beperkte ruimte in jachthavens en mag vaartuigen niet hinderen. Stromingen in jachthavens wijzigen sterk van richting door het getij waardoor een voorkeur gegeven wordt aan oplossingen die het vuil aanzuigen in tegenstelling tot een oplossing die werkt met een natuurlijke aanvoer.

Afdeling Kust is op zoek naar een volledig geautomatiseerde continue oplossing met minimale manuele interventie. Het is wenselijk dat de gekozen oplossing ook geschikt is voor afvalverwijdering op de binnenwateren.

Doel marktconsultatie

Tijdens de marktconsultatie willen we de behoeften van de Afdeling Kust en andere gebruikers 'matchen' met (deel-)oplossingen beschikbaar op de markt. Het is de bedoeling om na te gaan in hoeverre ondernemingen oplossingen kunnen aanreiken voor de behoeften en noden, en hoe innovatief, haalbaar (qua tijd, budget, ontwikkelingstraject, enz.) en schaalbaar deze oplossingen zijn.

Er wordt geen voorbereiding (in de vorm van presentaties, pitches of dergelijke) verwacht van de deelnemende bedrijven en organisaties. Addestino zal de discussie interactief aanpakken en modereren.

Voor een vlotte discussie en goed resultaat is het wel aangewezen om uw bedrijf te laten vertegenwoordigen door een medewerker met technologische expertise (eerder dan door een sales- of PR-medewerker). Zij kunnen doorgaans beter en sneller inschatten wat de technologische oplossingen kunnen zijn voor elke behoefte of gewenste functionaliteit.

De uitkomst van de marktconsultatie moet Afdeling Kust in staat stellen om een geschikte (innovatieve) oplossing voor de gestelde behoefte te laten ontwikkelen en/of aan te kopen via een overheidsopdracht.

Waar en wanneer?

De marktconsultatie gaat door op dinsdag 28 september 2021, 14:00 tot 17:00. Wegens de Covid19-maatregelen zal de marktconsultatie volledig online plaatsvinden. Na inschrijving hieronder, zal u de link voor deelname ten laatste op maandag 27 september via e-mail ontvangen.

De marktconsultatie zal in het Engels gehouden worden.

Inschrijven

Deelname is uiteraard gratis, maar inschrijving is verplicht. U kan dit doen door het inschrijvingsformulier onderaan deze pagina in te vullen tot en met vrijdag 24 september 2021. U zal dan ten laatste op maandag 27 september de nodige informatie (o.a. agenda, link) toegestuurd krijgen om deel te nemen.

Who are we looking for?

For the project "Innovative organization of the collection and removal of floating waste in marinas along the coast [3]" we, together with the Coastal Division of the Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services, want to encourage private companies to think about innovative solutions for the removal of floating waste in coastal marinas.

Therefore, we are inviting companies to participate in an open market consultation which will be moderated by Addestino Innovation Management.

More specifically, we are looking first and foremost for companies with innovative solutions for automated and continuous removal of maritime waste to join.

Purpose of the project

In coastal marinas a lot of waste floats around both the infrastructure and vessels. Not only is this harmful to the environment but also potentially disruptive and damaging to anchored and moving vessels, as well as the port infrastructure and fishing equipment.

Today, the Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services is responsible for the manual removal of floating waste and debris in Flemish coastal marinas.  Local weather and current conditions majorly influence this clean-up and are often the reason for less-than-optimal outcomes.

The goal of this project is to find an innovative solution for the removal of floating waste around the vessels and infrastructures of the marinas. This solution needs to consider the limited free space in between vessels and infrastructure and should not interfere with the vessel’s movement. Currents in marinas change direction strongly with the tide, which favours solutions that suck in the debris as opposed to one that works with a natural supply.

The Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services is looking for a fully automated continuous solution with minimal manual interventions. Solutions that in addition are suitable for inland marinas are preferred.

The scope of this project is limited to the removal of the floating waste and its landing.

Aim of the market consultation

During the market consultation we want to 'match' the needs of the Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services with (partial) solutions available on the market. The aim is to find out to what extent companies can provide concrete solutions for their needs and requirements, and how innovative, feasible (in terms of time, budget, development trajectory, etc.) and scalable these solutions are to be rolled out in the short term.

For a smooth discussion and a good result, it is advisable to have your company represented by an employee with technological expertise (rather than a sales or PR employee). They will usually be able to assess better and faster what the technological solutions can be for each need or desired functionality.

No preparation (in the form of presentations, pitches or the like) is expected from the participating companies and organizations. Addestino will approach and moderate the discussion interactively.

The outcome of the market consultation should enable the Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services to have a suitable (innovative) solution developed, tested and procured through a public tender.

The market consultation will be held in English.
